About

SNOW_20240202_175545_557~2.jpg

I studied East Asian languages in Vietnam and worked as a multilingual translator and cultural journalist, which led me to graduate research in communication in South Korea.

Through my interdisciplinary identity, I have interacted with multiple social sciences and STEM perspectives. My research in New Media Studies with Dr. Jang-ho Moon enhanced my domain knowledge in digital humanities and research skills. My research in Graph Theory with Dr. Jonathan Cutler helped me gain a deeper theoretical understanding of the networked phenomenon.

My research focuses on media culture, transnational media, mental health, and social network analysis. Mainly, I aim to investigate contemporary media culture in the US and its influences on people's identities, beliefs, and mental health, ideally using network science.

In addition to research, I am a self-taught artist. The elegance of traditional Asian art inspires my creative vision. My inspirations are the natural elements, especially the sea, leaves, flowers, the moon, and clouds.

With my art, I try to create a tranquil and soothing atmosphere, intending to bring joy and peace to those who see it.
